Getting an Animal Health Certificate in Surrey
If you are travelling from Surrey to the EU with your dog or cat, you will usually need an Animal Health Certificate, also known as an AHC.
An AHC is required for most dogs, cats and ferrets travelling from Great Britain to the EU. It must be issued by an Official Veterinarian and completed within the correct travel window before your pet enters the EU.

Can I use an AHC for more than one trip?
An Animal Health Certificate is generally issued for a specific journey from Great Britain to the EU.
Once you have entered the EU, the certificate can be used for onward travel within the EU and re-entry to Great Britain within its permitted validity period. For a later, separate journey from Great Britain to the EU, you will normally need a new Animal Health Certificate.
